Information and Technical Professionals
Becker-Carroll is a professional services organization based in Canada’s national capital region. Our business and technical professionals are committed to helping private and public sector organizations adopt, utilize, and manage technology to deliver trusted, high-value digital services.
The Becker-Carroll philosophy for developing digital services is that success lies in gaining a solid understanding of the fundamental elements of traditional business relationships such as:
World Wide Web Consortium (W3C)
The W3C is an international community where member organizations, a full-time staff, and the public work together to develop Web standards. Becker-Carroll is most active in the Verifiable Claims Working Group. The mission of this group is to “make expressing and exchanging credentials that have been verified by a third party easier and more secure on the web.
Digital ID & Authentication Council of Canada (DIACC)
The DIACC is a non-profit coalition of public and private sector leaders committed to developing a Canadian digital identification and authentication framework to enable Canada’s full and secure participation in the global digital economy. Becker-Carroll is a member of the expert committee developing the Pan-Canadian Trust Framework (PCTF). The PTCF “is a general term used to describe a set of auditable business, technical, and legal rules that apply to the identification, authentication, and authorization of accessing resources across organizations”. Its objective is to enable “Canada’s full and secure participation in the global digital economy through economic sector innovation and the ennoblement of modernized digital service delivery”.
